Friday 2 3 2 24 13 to 18 4 to 6 Any MF

Note : It is important that all the times are used to avoid a reduction in the allocation. Additional tee times are sometimes available at both clubs - enquire at the MFOC office if you wish to find out whether it is possible on the day you wish to play. The actual times will vary from day to day but in general Los Naranjos will be from 12 noon or later whilst La Quinta will be earlier. Actual times will be notified weekly and will not be available to residents before they arrive.

Owners who have a priority time may not invite any other players to share their time unless they too have the same priority. Members who claim false priorities will find their names removed from the booking list. The management is under strict instructions not to allow any deviation from the system.

Golf BallIMPORTANT NOTE Our arrangements with the golf clubs are based on annual contracts but the golf clubs are autonomous and Marbella Fairways Owners Club can accept no responsibility for any action of the golf club which may lead to a temporary closure of the courses. In the case of any major change to the arrangements show above, Marbella Fairways Owners Club will try to arrange alternative facilities at other local clubs but no guarantees can be given or are implied

How to Book a Tee Time
  1. If you wish to play golf it is important to enter your names and villa numbers on the priority lists on the notice board outside on the wall alongside the office. If you do not enter your names, you will not be considered for golf at the concessionary rates. At busy times of the year, it is unlikely that you will be able to obtain a round of golf at all, without using this system.
  2. Please be sure to check your priority group (1st, 2nd or 3rd priority) every day before entering your names.
  3. When you enter your names on the priority lists, please indicate if you prefer to play 9 holes only or 2 rounds of 9 holes in a day, as opposed to a full 18 holes. If you do not make this indication, we shall assume that you require, if possible, a full 18 holes.
  4. If you particularly need an early starting time, for example to catch a flight later on the same day, please indicate this when you enter your names on the priority lists.
  5. It would help us considerably if you could give us an indication, prior to your arrival, of the number of times you anticipate wishing to play in a week and whether they would ideally be rounds of 18 holes or 9 holes (once only or twice in a day).
  6. The final golf list will be displayed on the Marbella Fairways board the day before your round at about 13.00.

Please be assured that we shall do all we can to arrange golf in the best way possible to suit your requirements.

La Quinta

  1. We have 1 or 2 starting times for 18 holes. Some of these rounds in the early part of the year may be substituted by 2 rounds of 9 holes on the same day. The fee will be € 38 per round including insurance for 18 holes or €27 for 9 holes. Additional times can sometimes be arranged, via the MFOC office.
Owners: We also have 2 tee times for 4 players each for 9 holes between 8.00am to 9.30am or after 3pm.
  2. Starting times will vary on a daily or weekly basis. These times will be displayed every day on the golf priority lists, on the notice board outside the office.
Los Naranjos
  1. We have up to 3 starting times for 4 people per day. The green fee is €38 per round of 18 holes including insurance or €27 for 9 holes.
  2. Further rounds of any kind are possible on direct application to the golf club, or via the MFOC office, and on payment on a 'members guest' green fee, currently €55.
Aloha Golf Club (OWNERS ONLY)
Members, and guests personally accompanying them, may play on the Aloha Golf Championship course at the times shown below on a daily basis subject to a green fee of €55 in 'low' season and €75 in the 'high' season.

FAILURE TO TURN UP FOR A BOOKED TEE TIME WILL STILL MEAN PAYMENT OF THE STANDARD GREEN FEE

We have three tee times per day (08:00, 08:09 and 08:18). These times are sufficient to guarantee that all villas can play at least once each week.

We are therefore operating a procedure aimed at being as fair as possible to members. If you would like to play at Aloha during your stay please inform our office at Aloha several days ahead of your arrival indicating your wish to play and your preferred day of play.

Our management will allocate times based on these requests in as fair a way as possible and place a list on the notice board to advise members of what has been arranged.

Bearing in mind that only villas occupied by owners and their guests qualify, and that not all owners want to play on the course, it is hoped that, in most weeks, it will be possible to allocate a convenient tee time for all who request it.

However, MFOC cannot guarantee either that owners will be able to play the Aloha course during their stay, or a specifically requested day of play.

Los Naranjos

Los Naranjos, designed by Mr Robert Trent Jones Sr, was built in 1975/76 and opened to the public in the beginning of 1977. At first, Los Naranjos was a sister course to the nearby Real Las Brisas Golf Club - both courses had the same owner. In 1989 Los Naranjos was bought by Mr Percy Nilsson, a Swede in the international property business, and together with 100 individual share holders and members, is still the majority owner of the club.

Since the opening of the golf course, several events for the best European golf professionals have been held at Los Naranjos - The Spanish Open in 1986 among others. One of the most interesting features of Los Naranjos is the significant difference between the front nine and the back nine. The first nine holes are set out on broad, sweeping fairways, with gentle slopes and with trees and water providing the natural hazards. After the ninth hole the landscape becomes flatter, and here you will find the remains of the original orange grove that has lent the course its name.
